Okay. So I wear a lot of neutrals. A LOT. Brown is the number one color in my wardrobe – next to black, gray and teal. I have a speck of green, a little purple and a smattering of everything else – but it all goes with my khaki pants. So, for my “Clothing Inspired” entry into the #ClaireStelle8Mar challenge, I came up with this for my nails:
Doesn’t the pattern remind you of polyester pant suits? I know that’s so …old school, but I love it because it is so neutral and will go with everything I wear. 🙂 That’s one of the things I always think about when I’m doing my nails; “Will this go with what I’m wearing tomorrow?” This will – I could do this with almost everything in my entire closet.
So, I’m not sure if you can tell, but I started out with a midtone brown as the base color, then stamped once with a white and once with a gold shimmer. (Can you see the double stamp?) I cleaned up with a small brush and some acetone and sealed it in with a top coat. The result is a very subtle sparkle on an otherwise quiet, office-friendly manicure.
