It is SO frustrating when there is a thing you want to do with your nails and you don’t have the right tools! “Stained Glass” was the prompt for this look (Details HERE) and I don’t have a single stained glass stamp. I wanted to do the whole make a decal and color it in and apply to your nails thing but I don’t have teeny brushes or dotting tools either! <sigh> So what did I do?
First I tried to do stained glass freehand. Disaster. Total Disaster. LOL
Then I tried to do it with nail tape, taking too long before peeling off the tape resulting in a second sticky, ugly, disaster.
Finally I decided to do the smooshy stamp on my two (four if you count both hands) accent fingers and use the one stamp I have that sorta looks like stained glass on top – in gold. BUT, of course, you can’t see the gold unless you’re looking at it just right, because that’s just the way this mani was going, so I went ahead and stamped with black on top of that.
What do you think of the final look? Can you see the pink and gold in there?
I love the effect this gives and the photo just doesn’t do it justice. The pink peeking out of the design and the little pop of gold really add some dimension. I needed to stick with something a little quieter this time because i have a professional meeting I can’t go to with screaming loud nails. I belive this will do. #OfficeNails, right?
