Friday, March 20th
We went to bed at 7:30 last night. Yes, really. Upon tucking our little man in, we looked at each other and headed to bed, utterly exhausted. We were both sound asleep by nine and we both slept hard.
And you know what?! We felt SO much better today.
Because we felt better, everything else seemed better too. The day rolled on without any hiccups and was rather productive for both of us. I let the little one watch a lot of TV – but kept it tuned to PBS the entire morning so I didn’t feel quite so guilty. He seemed happy as a lark all day – and even mentioned what a good day it was.
I didn’t look at one news feed or turn on Facebook at all till after bedtime for the little one.
And I think that was the main difference.
What else happened today?
I kept wondering all day if I have this thing. It’s that classic hypochondriac response to situations like this. Every sniffle makes you worry. We all have allergies. I’m glad I have work to distract me from dwelling on this nonsense too much.
Husband grilled steak for dinner. We ate a baked potato with it. Big deviation from the low carb thing, and I honestly don’t care right now. It tasted really good.
In the news today:
- There are now 44 positive cases in our city, none in our county. (Are they testing here?!)
- Gas prices are falling like mad. They are well under $2 here, apparently under $1/gallon in New Jersey
- Curbside liquor is allowed… (i.e. restaurants can sell their tasty adult beverages to-go) Very interesting indeed.
