It was another gorgeous spring day today. 🙂 We took out little man out in the backyard to to the scavenger hunt and for a short walk. He also kicked a ball back and forth with papa while mama cooked dinner.
The farmers are back to burning their fields off and it’s making us miserable. Little one’s eyes are SO red. We’re almost out of allergy meds for him. 🙁 Hubby’s got the head stuff going on and it really gets him at night. Trying like mad to ward off any sinus infections – or any other reason to go near a health clinic now. Obviously.
I was super productive and finished a website today. Yay!!
We had one big pork steak left in the freezer. That’s what I fixed for dinner tonight, along with a side of carrots. HERE is the recipe. Delicious, easy, and quick. Mr. is still talking about it this morning.
And, lastly, we had a spring thunderstorm move through around midnight. Lightning and all. I’m not a fan of thunderstorms and they generally ignite a bit bit of anxiety… we’ll see how this season rolls. It’s here.
This is going to sound really weird, but overall, I have a deep sense of contentment right now. I think I’ve adjusted fully to our current situation and will be a little sad to see this go. I love how close it’s bringing us all. It’s very possible I’m ignoring all the bad stuff out there too and focusing on what I can control. Doing better every day.
In the news today:
- Our state is up to 168 cases now.
- We have taken the lead in the number of cases in any country worldwide. So scary and so sad. Over 1000 deaths.
