Friday, March 27th
There is not a lot to report on today. Business as usual: staying inside, cooking all our meals, entertaining a three year old between spurts of work.
For dinner, we did something we have never, ever done before. Something I said I wouldn’t do. We fried food. Fish, actually. Like Long John Silver’s. It was really good. My husband took the whole project on by himself and I made cheesy scalloped potatoes. I wish I would have taken a photo – it was delicious. And I’m now wondering about frying french fries to go with burgers in a few days.
I also spent a good chunk of time on the phone with my mom. We talk every day. I miss her. I’m annoyed that our standing Easter plans are going to be completely spoiled by this.
We are seriously rationing how much coronavirus news we let in. Both of us feel much better just not looking at it.
In the news today:
- Kansas has 202 cases today – and still growing.
- “They” are saying this will peak mid April. I’m not sure I believe that.
