My husband just started our garden for the year. Mainly prep work and so forth. We had some yard work done earlier this year and he replanted some relocated Iris and took stock of the vegetable seeds we have. We discussed what we want to plant. (Cucumbers and Zucchini are my votes.)
My brother made a grocery run and we had him bring milk, flour, lunchmeat and bell peppers. Now we can do pizza tonight! (Flour for the crust, peppers for the pizza!) It was delicious. Our low carb version is nice, but this was outstanding. I made the crust, but he did all the rest. Teamwork.
We also made 2-weeks worth of meal plans in an effort to do one grocery run every two weeks. It’s officially been more than two weeks since we’ve been – but who’s counting?! We are planning for one of us to go on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Today was beautiful and we opened up the house. It was also very windy, with gusts reaching up to 51MPH here. I tried to take little man out and do chalk on the driveway, but it was too windy and it didn’t last long. We’re all feeling pretty good today.
In the news today:
- Kansas has 267 cases today – and still growing. 6 deaths now.
- The Governor issued a statewide stay-at-home order. (Rather than the individual counties deciding.)
- Craft stores have been ordered to close as they are not essential.
- A nasty tornado hit Jonesboro, Arkansas today.
